Applications for lighting masts

Our mobile lighting masts are used for a variety of applications. Mostly outdoors, but also in covered areas. Anywhere where the existing light is not sufficient for working. For example, when working on construction sites or incident sites at night or completing difficult installation jobs in poor light conditions. The lighting masts are either attached directly to the vehicle being used or the spotlights are equipped with their own pole. The majority are made from aluminium to minimise weight. Light masts need to be high for optimal light dispersion. However, to keep them a manageable size, we offer extendable telescopic lighting masts. Hydraulic and pneumatically operated extendable masts are also available upon request. Simply check which operating method you want before purchase. Manually operated lighting masts are a cost-effective option but they do require more effort. Hydraulic and pneumatic lighting masts are much easier to operate. These require a voltage of 12 or 24V from a vehicle battery. LED light masts are an advantage due to their lower power consumption. Alternatively, the masts can be powered using an external generator with a 230V output. These generators supply enough power to operate several lighting masts. LED light masts are becoming increasingly common and are gradually replacing the previously common halogen and xenon options. LED lighting creates high-contrast, white lighting. The light produced by LEDs is approx. five times brighter than that generated by conventional bulbs for the same energy input. This can therefore reduce the lighting costs. Equally, fewer batteries and generators are required.

Fire brigades and rescue services

In this sector, the use of mobile lighting masts is absolutely vital. Night rescue operations are only possible with the help of these masts. For this reason, many emergency vehicles used by fire brigades and emergency response organisations are equipped with telescopic lighting masts with normal or LED lighting technology. Upon request, trailers or equipment vehicles can also be specially fitted with lighting masts to illuminate incident sites.
