While working as a tow truck driver, he lost a rare tool for opening incorrectly parked cars. Being technically adept, he produces the opening tool himself without further delay - and thus the business idea and the company were born.

Together with 3 employees, Georg Windeisen succeeds in steadily expanding the company. Ongoing product range expansions and product innovations also make it possible to move into the first company premises Am Schinderwasen 7 in Blaustein.
Bott service partner
ProLux is now a regional service partner of Bott GmbH & Co. KG. As a result, the area of vehicle and operating equipment is growing in importance and is becoming part of the strategy of a "systems provider".
ProLux as a systems provider
It is ProLux's ambition to provide the customer with the maximum possible range of products and services. Therefore, in addition to towing accessories, other core competences are developed and the expansion abroad gains in importance. The company is renamed ProLux Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG.

By acquiring this company, a supplier of high-visibility and workwear, ProLux increases its expertise in the development of new high-visibility clothing concepts. At the same time, in addition to towing services, other target groups such as workshops and craft businesses are also being attracted.

The company's growth leads to an expansion of the company's floor space by 150% through the purchase of the neighbouring building at Lindenstraße 15.
Acquisition of the French company Pro Equipment
The purchase of the long-standing French dealer and competitor Pro Equipement is an opportunity to gain new customer contacts. France is becoming the strongest export country for towing technology.
Shareholder of werbeland®
Through the partnership with werbeland®, ProLux is able to access a nationwide network of advertising technicians and labelling professionals. This generates new business contacts, increases the service for customers and enhances the competences in the field of advertising concepts.
Acquisition of KompLED Light Systems GmbH
ProLux achieves further development competencies in the field of commercial vehicles through the acquisition of the supplier KompLED Light Systems. The company continues as a subsidiary with independent production at the location Lindenstraße 15.
The ProLux principle merges competences
Over the years, the core business of towing accessories has been steadily expanded to include other services. ProLux now develops complete solutions in the form of advertising concepts, workwear and vehicle equipment using the name "ProLux Principle". Under the guiding principle of "everything from a single source", the idea of the systems provider also takes centre stage here.

In addition to Wilhelm Schaaf in the Purchasing & Logistics department, the owner and Managing Director Georg Windeisen is now supported by Roswitha Erath in the Finance & Controlling department and Mario Hofer in Marketing & Sales
25th company anniversary
By now, 100 employees and sales partners throughout Europe supply and advise more than 15 countries with towing solutions. Ongoing expansion has made ProLux the European market leader in this field - even after 25 years in business. The services in the field of advertising concepts, corporate clothing and vehicle equipment continue to complement the all-round service for customers.

For the initial certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality management and environmental management, all work processes are analyzed and structured. Thus, ProLux can continue a consistent and sustainable quality of products and services.
