Advantages of tow bars

Our tow bars have numerous advantages over tow ropes. The rigid bar keeps the vehicles a set distance apart. This minimises or even prevents any unpleasant jolts between the cars or vehicles when starting up and accelerating away smoothly. Jolt-free towing reduces wear to the attachment points or towing eyes on the cars involved. The risk of a rear-end collision with the towed vehicle during towing is also almost eliminated. Another benefit is that our tow bars also allow vehicles to reverse, which is not possible with a tow rope. In addition, a tow rope can only tow a maximum of 4 tonnes.

Car tow bar

ProLux car tow bars can tow defective vehicles of up to  a maximum of 3.5 tonnes. The tow bars enable cars to be towed safely and easily. Not only to the next exit, but also to the nearest garage, which might be some distance away. We have three tried-and-tested models in our range:

Our very popular professional tow pole is easy to take apart and stow. It comes with a robust carry case so that it can be stored properly. In addition to a hook for attaching to the towing eye, the tow bar can also be attached to a trailer coupling . Thanks to these versatile mounting options, our professional tow pole is the ideal tow pole for roadside recovery vehicles. Our car tow bar is the lightweight option in our tow bar range. This tow bar can be separated into two parts for storage, weighs only 5.3 kg and has maximum load capacity of 3200kg. Other advantages include easy installation, adjustable eye hooks and a very reasonable price. Our identical van tow bar offers the same great features. HGV towing bar

We offer a wide and highly professional range of different tow bars in the truck sector. With up to 44 t permissible total weight, you will no longer miss out on any heavy-duty applications. Our range of HGV towing bars extends from the simple, low-priced version to tow bars with exchangeable towing eyes and a length-adjustable tow bar.

Our light-range and mid-range tow bars are ideally suited for HGVs with a maximum permissible weight of 7.5 t. Fitted with a hook or tow ball coupling or towing eye, you can easily tow vehicles which are too tall for your slidebed. Our professional HGV tow bars offer the ideal solution for towing loads of 32 to 44 t.  A towing bar with a reinforced middle section allows heavy vehicles to be manoeuvred, while our Vario tow pole also enables different sizes of towing lugs to be used. The Telematic tow bar can be adjusted to different lengths as required. This is useful when you need to compensate for a height difference between the hitching points on the towing vehicle and the vehicle being towed.
