VDZ basic towing system

The VDZ system has been developed to ensure safe and efficient recovery of an accident-damaged or broken-down vehicle. A broken-down lorry can be towed away with the system from almost any situation without any problems (provided that all regulations are complied with and the prescribed values are not exceeded). This saves time and the flow of traffic is not impaired longer than necessary.
Vehicle manufacturers pay a great deal of attention to how and where a vehicle may be attached. Improper lifting or towing can cause serious damage to the recovered vehicle.
During extensive long-distance trials throughout Europe, the VDZ system has proven to be an innovative and damage-free towing system.
The system enables the damaged vehicle to be lifted safely at the recovery and towing points designated by the manufacturer. The lifting point is moved forwards considerably thanks to the system, the weight on the lifting arm of the recovery vehicle is reduced and the lifting arm can be fully retracted during the towing process.
The basic equipment includes adapters, towing eyes, crossbars and square beams for the most common vehicles.
